TB minutes 1-15-26
Minutes of January 15th 2026 Town Board Meeting
Town of New Haven, Adams County, Wisconsin
The January meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 6:00 p.m. on the
15th of January by Chairman Jay Churco. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk
noted that notice of the meeting had been posted in four places, placed on the Town
website, and emailed to those who had requested such form of notification.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with a motion by Supervisor Jason
Musiedlak and second by Supervisor Adam Watson. Motion carried.
Treasurer Conny Crothers presented the monthly Treasurer’s report which was approved
for filing with a motion by Adam and second by Jason. Motion carried.
Jason Lindner was present requesting to rezone a 5 acre parcel, located at 172 Glen Ave in
the SE 1⁄4 of the SW 1⁄4 , Section 13, R7E T14N from A1-35 with Farmland Protection to A-3.
He wishes to have a house built on the property. The Town Plan Commission had studied
the request and unanimously recommended for approval. Adam moved to approve the
request and Jason seconded the motion which then passed with a unanimous voice vote.
The topic of a Short Term Rental Ordinance was then discussed. Since the number of these
units is increasing as a result of tourism in the area it is felt that an ordinance to raise
revenue for the tourism sector and to offset the cost to the Town from this industry was
appropriate. Adam moved to proceed with establishing such an ordinance. Jason
seconded the motion which carried by unanimous voice vote.
Jason reported that he had removed a tree from the road that had been reported to him.
The Treasurer reported that tax collections were proceeding and the January settlements
had been made. Jay reported that the courthouse renovation had begun in Friendship. The
Clerk reported that an Election Training held at the courthouse had been attended by four
from the Town of New Haven.
Vouchers presented to the Clerk were approved for payment with a motion by Adam,
second by Jason. Motion carried.
Included on the agenda for next month shall be continuing discussion regarding the Room
Tax Ordinance and road repair options for the year.
The next regular meeting of the Board will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
Jason moved for adjournment, Adam seconded the motion and the Chairman declared the
meeting adjourned at 6:38 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Kenneth Crothers, Town Clerk
