TB minutes 5-21-26

Minutes of May 21, 2026 New Haven Town Board Meeting

The May meeting of the New Haven Town Board convened with a Hearing on the
proposed Room Tax Ordinance #2026-01 to hear arguments for and against adoption of
the Ordinance. Tom Morse expressed concern and Lonny Kutina and John Grueneberg
spoke in favor of adoption.

When no further comments were forthcoming, the hearing was closed.

At 7:08 p.m. the Monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman Jay Churco. The
Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that notice of the meeting had
been placed on the Town web site, posted in four locations, and emailed to those who
have indicated that form of notification.

Minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved with a motion by Supervisor
Adam Watson and second by Supervisor Jason Musiedlak. Motion carried.

Treasurer Conny Crothers presented the monthly financial report which was approved
for filing with a motion by Jason, second by Adam and the motion carried.

Adam moved and Jason seconded for the adoption of Ordinance 2026-01, the Room
Tax Ordinance. The motion carried with a roll call vote, Jay, Adam, and Jason all in
favor of adoption.

Drainage issues on 5 th Drive were discussed, with Jessie Foster, John Grueneberg, and
Julia Wiese, adjoining property owners, in attendance making pertinent comments. It
was decided to let the job for bids to fix the problem.

Drainage issues on Grouse Ct., will be fixed by Gage Klicko in the near future.

Jason reported that patching had begun for the year.

Jay reported that the Courthouse improvements are going well and will come in under budget.

Transfer Site Attendant Matt Hernandez was in attendance and told the Board he will not be around from June
12 th through the 25 th and someone needed to fill in for him.

Jay reported that SSI will be sealcoating the Town Hall parking lot and painting the yellow stripes afterward.

Invoices that had been presented to the Clerk were approved for payment with a motion
by Adam, second by Jason, and motion carried.

Future agenda items will include drainage issues on 5 th Drive and appointments to the
Town Plan Commission. Current members Tom Morse, Pete Joslin, and Jane Gaffney
are all willing to serve another term.

The next regular meeting will be June 18 th at 7:00 p.m
Jason moved to adjourn, Adam seconded the motion and the Chair declared the
meeting adjourned at 7:56 p.m.
