Minutes of August, 2025 Town Board Meeting
Town of New Haven, Adams County, Wisconsin
The August meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by
Chairman Jay Churco.
The adjourned Board of Review was convened and adjourned until September 24 at
7:00 p.m. when it will be convened for the two hour session.
The regular meeting followed with the Pledge of Allegiance and statement by the Clerk
that the meeting had been properly noticed.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with a motion by Supervisor
Adam Watson, second by Supervisor Jason Musiedlak. Motion carried.
Treasurer Conny Crothers presented the monthly financial report which was approved
for filing with a motion by Adam, second by Jason. Motion carried.
Jason will contact Waushara County to investigate spraying of roadsides yet this fall.
Signs saying “No Spray Zone” will be purchased and distributed to those wishing to
have them before the spraying will commence once the date is known.
Approving the Class B Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverages to be issued to Jake and
Athena Johnson was tabled until next month as the sale has been delayed. Adam
moved to table action until the next monthly meeting unless the sale goes through prior
to that time, in which case a special meeting may be called to approve the license.
Jason seconded the motion which passed with a unanimous voice vote.
Operators Licenses were approved for Jake and Athena Johnson with a motion by
Adam, second by Jason. Motion carried.
Discussion on the proposed revision of the County Zoning Ordinance followed and it
was agreed to make notes for the next meeting when they will be compiled and
forwarded to the Planning and Zoning Director.
Jason reported that patching was continuing as well as ongoing storm cleanup. He will
be in contact with Waushara County to coordinate the spraying, should it happen to
occur this fall. He will also contact Tom Evans regarding a gate to close off the lane that
Google now indicates as a town road. Adam brought up the problem of tree and brush
growth making hazardous travel on two of the Town Roads. He moved to hire the
Adams County Highway Department to take care of the problems on 4 th and 1 st . Jason
seconded the motion which carried with a unanimous voice vote. The Clerk noted that
complaints were being received regarding excessive speed on 5 th Drive, that the August
Tax Settlement had been received, that Open Book will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on
September 17 th and Board of Review will be September 24 th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Invoices that had been presented to the Clerk were approved for payment with a motion
by Adam, second by Jason. Motion carried.
Future agenda items shall be discussion of suggestions for the revision to the County
Zoning Ordinance, and spraying of roadsides.
The next regular meeting will be September 18 th at 7:00 p.m.
Jason moved and Adam seconded for adjournment and the meeting was declared
adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
