Minutes of September 2024 Town Board Meeting
Town of New Haven, Adams County, Wisconsin
The September meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order by Town
Chairman Tory Wolfram at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that proper notice of the
meeting had been given by posting, Town website, and emails.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with a motion by Supervisor
Adam Watson, second by Supervisor Jason Musiedlak. Motion carried.
Treasurer Conny Crothers presented the monthly financial report which was approved
for filing with a motion by Adam, second by Jason. Motion carried.
Spraying of roadsides for the coming year was discussed but due to lack of sufficient
information no decision was made. Discussion will continue next month.
Culvert cleaning was discussed and as time allows that will continue.
Repairs to the intersection of County G and Golden Court were discussed and Road
Superintendent Bill Ebert will fill the holes with patch material.
The Clerk noted that the initial mailing of absentee ballots had been completed on the
20 th of September and newer requests were being honored as they arrive. The Clerk
also noted that the Assessor will be doing a revaluation again in 2025 by order of the
Wisconsin Department of Revenue.
Chairman Wolfram reported that the Town of Newport was considering purchasing a
brush cutter and wondered if New Haven wished to be part of the purchase. Since
Adams County does a good job for us it was decided to take no further action regarding
the Town of Newport’s request.
Kim Meinhardt, Independent candidate for County Treasurer appeared and gave an
outline of her abilities and experience and answered questions.
Invoices presented to the Clerk were reviewed and approved for payment with a motion
by Jason, second by Adam. Motion carried.
Agenda items for the coming meeting shall include brush spraying, culvert cleaning, and
establishing the number of poll workers for the November General Election.
The next meeting will be held on the 24 th of November, a week later than usual at 7:00
p.m.
Jason moved for adjournment, Adam seconded the motion, and the Chair declared the
meeting adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
