May 22, 2019
Board of Review for the Town of New Haven was called to order at 6:36 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Town Hall by Town Chairman Tory Wolfram. In attendance were Chairman Wolfram, Supervisor Bill Ebert, Supervisor Adam Watson, Clerk Ken Crothers, and Assessor Claude Riglemon.
Tory moved and Bill seconded to elect Adam Watson as chairman of the Board of Review.
Supervisor Bill Ebert and Clerk Ken Crothers have met the training requirements required for Board of Review.
Tory moved and Bill seconded to waive the 10 day notice requirement. Motion carried.
Don Sherwood appeared in objection to his assessment. He and the assessor were sworn in by the Clerk.
Mr. Sherwood purchased the property for $69,000. Land is currently assessed at $90,000 and improvements at $12,200. After reviewing the objection form and supporting evidence, Tory moved and Bill seconded to lower the assessment of the land to $60,000 and the improvements to remain unchanged. Motion carried.
There were no other objections and no one else appeared before the Board.
Bill moved and Tory seconded to adjourn the Board of Review and the meeting was declared adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
