Minutes of 2022 Annual Meeting
Town of New Haven, Adams County, Wisconsin
The 166 th Annual Meeting of the Town of New Haven was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, April 19, 2022 by Town Chairman Tory Wolfram. In attendance were Supervisor Adam
Watson, Supervisor Bill Ebert, Treasurer Conny Crothers, Clerk Ken Crothers, Bernadette
Wisniewski, Mary Ebert, Cheryl Coon and Jay Churco.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Minutes of the previous Annual Meeting were read and
approved with a motion by Mary Ebert and second by Jay Churco. Motion carried.
The Clerk presented the annual financial report and answered questions about some of the
items. Jay Churco moved and Mary Ebert seconded to approve the report. Motion carried.
The Clerk noted that Open Book will be held on May 9 th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the Board of
Review will be held on May 19 th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Also mentioned was the County Clean
Sweep which will be on Saturday June 4 th from 8 a.m. to noon at the County Landfill.
Jay Churco moved that the Transfer Site attendant wage be raised from $15/hour to $20/hour,
beginning immediately. Bernadette Wisniewski seconded the motion which then carried with a
unanimous voice vote.
Mrs. Wisniewski mentioned that several Oak trees on the north side of Gale Avenue are dead
and will come down soon. This will be referred to the Town of Jackson and trees on the south
side will be checked by New Haven.
Mrs. Ebert mentioned that the accessibility ramp was in need of repairs. Matt Hernandez will
be contacted to see if he is willing to undertake the project.
Jay Churco moved and Mary Ebert seconded for adjournment and the meeting was declared
adjourned at 7:25 p.m.

Minutes of April, 2022 Monthly Board Meeting
Town of New Haven, Adams County, Wisconsin
The April meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 7:25 p.m. on April 19,
2022, immediately following adjournment of the Annual Town Meeting.
The Clerk noted that proper notice of the meeting had been given by posting, placing on the
Town web site, and emailing.
Minutes of the March meeting were read and approved with a motion by Bill Ebert and second
by Adam Watson. Motion carried.
Treasurer Conny Crothers presented the monthly financial report which was approved with a
motion by Bill and second by Adam. Motion carried.
Road work for the summer was discussed and a lengthy list of possible projects were brought
forth. Included was wedging on Gale near Oberdorf’s, repairs to Fur from G to the west, ditch
and culvert and surface work on 4 th between Golden Ave and Golden Ln., chip sealing a portion
of Gulch, and 1 st which will be a LRIP project from Glen to Golden Drive. Bill will soon have
patch material and lime gravel delivered to patch and repair small holes and washouts
throughout the Town.
Discussion on the likely need for a room tax ordinance was discussed. While the revenue it
would generate at present does not justify adopting such an ordinance, it is something that will
probably need to be considered if the number of short term rentals keep increasing.
Bills for the month as presented by the Clerk were approved for payment with a motion by
Adam and second by Bill. Motion carried.
Future agenda items shall include upcoming road repairs.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, May 18 th and Board of Review will be the following
night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m
Bill moved and Adam seconded for adjournment and the Chairman declared the meeting
adjourned at 8:01 p.m.
