Minutes of October 15, 2020 Town Board Meeting Town of New Haven, Adams County, Wisconsin The Regular monthly meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall by Chairman Tory Wolfram. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that proper notice of the meeting had been given. A hearing on the request to add 5th Ave from Golden Ave. north to its intersection was held. Jay Churco spoke in favor of the proposal and no one spoke in opposition. The hearing was closed and the regular meeting began. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with a motion by Supervisor Bill Ebert and second by Supervisor Adam Watson. Conny Crothers presented the Treasurer’s report which was then approved with a motion by Adam and second by Bill. The Chairman invited those in attendance to ask questions and make pertinent comments as the meeting proceeded. Adam moved to approve Ordinance 10-2020 which amends Ordinance 10-15-2 to include 5th Ave. from Golden Ave. north to County P. Bill seconded the motion and the Clerk called the roll with all in favor and none opposed. Motion carried. Adam moved to approve resolution 10-2020 requesting the Adams County Highway Department and County Board to approve adding County P from 5th Ave west to the Town Line to the list of approved ATV/UTV routes. Bill seconded and the Clerk called the roll with all in favor and none opposed. Motion carried. The Chairman and Clerk signed the contracts with the Kilbourn Fire Department and Dells, Delton Ambulance Service. Discussion on what to include with the tax letter ensued and the Treasurer will follow through with recommendations. Tory reported that the Adams County Highway Department contracts with Waushara County for spraying of brush along the roads and this option is available to the Town through the County. The Clerk reported that preparations were well under way for the coming election, that the budget will need to be prepared for the November meeting, that a revaluation of all property in the Town would be conducted in 2021, and that County Bridge Aid had been received for the culvert on 1st Lane. Tory suggested the Clerk salary be raised to $1,000 per month when preparing the budget due to the increased work load resulting from added election duties. Bill moved and Adam Seconded to approve payment of all bills as presented. Motion carried. Next month will be the budget hearing, special town meeting to approve the budget and increase salaries and regular meeting to follow with discussion of plans for Golden Ave. and spraying of brush in 2021. The next meeting will be on November 19th at 7:00 p.m. Adam moved and Bill seconded for adjournment and Tory declared the meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. Respectfully Submitted, Kenneth Crothers, Clerk
