Minutes of 10/20/2022 Meeting of the New Haven Town Board
The October meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. at the
Town Hall by Chairman Tory Wolfram.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that proper notice of the meeting had
been given.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with a motion by Supervisor Adam
Watson and second by Supervisor Bill Ebert. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was reviewed and approved for filing with a motion by Bill and second
by Adam. Motion carried.
The north fence of the Transfer Site is rebuilt and the west side will be complete in a couple
days. Waushara County Highway Department will apply brush killer to half the roads in the
Town for $2000.00. It was discussed and agreed to budget $5,000.00 to have all the roads
sprayed in 2023.
Adam moved and Bill seconded to approve a Class B License for Aston Walters, DBA Antiques
and Crystal Inn B&B contingent upon receipt of the license fee. Motion carried.
Adam moved and Bill seconded to approve reducing the election board to five workers per shift
for the November 8 General Election. Motion carried.
Adam moved and Bill seconded to apply all of the ARPA funds toward the reconstruction of
First Lane. Motion carried.
Barb Maley appeared, representing her neighbor, regarding placement of the proposed storage
shed to be located on the boat access on the north side of the lake. All in attendance were in
agreement that it should be located in an area agreeable to adjacent property owners. Bill
moved and Adam seconded to approve construction of the shed contingent on Tory, Jay Churco
(County Board Representative on the Lake District Board), Pam Klein (Lake District President),
and adjacent property owners meeting to agree upon a suitable location. Motion carried.
It was discussed and decided that the County Highway Department should take down a dead
tree on the north side of Golden Ave. County Board representative Jay Churco reported a quiet
stretch at the County Board level with no big events taking place.
The Clerk noted that the public test of the Voting apparatus would be held on the 5 th of
November, that Kerber Rose Technology would be setting up the required .gov.wi email
address. That Ben Huffman had repaired the hall furnace at no charge, and that Marge
Anderson had contacted the clerk regarding placement of the summary sign at the end of her
driveway.
Invoices received by the Clerk were reviewed and approved for payment with a motion by
Adam and second by Bill. Motion carried.

uture agenda items are the budget hearing, Special Town Meeting to approve the tax levy and
board approval of the levy.
The next meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on November 17 th .
Bill moved and Adam seconded for adjournment and the Chairman declared the meeting
adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
