Minutes of Budget Hearing, Special Town Meeting, and Monthly Board Meeting
November 14, 2019
At 7:00 p.m. on November 14, 2019, Chairman Tory Wolfram opened the Budget Hearing for
2020. The Clerk presented the budget, in detail, and answered any questions from the floor.
At 7:10 p.m. the Chairman convened the Special Town Meeting which began with recitation of
the Pledge of Allegiance. Ed Coon moved to adopt the 2020 Levy in the amount of
$149,532.00. Jay Churco seconded the motion which was then carried with a unanimous voice
vote. Mary Ebert then moved to adopt the proposed Highway Expenditures for 2020. Ed Coon
seconded the motion which was then carried by unanimous voice vote. Bill Ebert moved to
adjourn the Special Town Meeting. Ed Coon seconded the motion which was then approved by
unanimous voice vote and the meeting was adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
The regular monthly meeting of the New Haven Town Board was then called to order and the
clerk noted that proper notice of the meeting had been published, posted, and sent
electronically.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with a motion from Supervisor Adam
Watson and second by Supervisor Bill Ebert. The Treasurer’s report was then presented and
approved with a motion by Bill and second by Adam.
Adam moved to approve the Budget for 2020 as presented at the Budget Hearing. Bill
seconded the motion and it was approved by voice vote.
The Clerk brought forth the new requirement for IT support for any computer used to enter any
data in WisVote. The Towns Association recommends using the services of Kerber Rose for this
service. Adam moved, and Bill seconded to approve this service. Motion carried.
The possibility of procuring a compacter for the dumpsters at the Transfer Site will be
investigated. It was agreed to have General Engineering proceed with preparing the
applications for road projects under the 90/10 grant program.
Adam reported that 4th Drive from 23 South was in bad shape and it was agreed that next year
something will have to be done to repair it.
The Clerk presented the bills for the month and all were approved for payment with a motion
from Bill and second from Adam.
Future agenda items shall include the 90/10 road project applications, Transfer Site options,
annual audit of the clerk’s ledger, and appointment of poll workers for the 2020-2021 term.
The next meeting shall be on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
Bill moved and Adam seconded for adjournment and the meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
