Minutes of November 17, 2022 Proceedings
Budget Hearing, Special Town Meeting, Regular Monthly Meeting
At 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, Chairman Tory Wolfram convened the Hearing on the 2023
budget. In spite of publishing and posting notice of the Hearing, only the full Town Board was
present. After a short discussion of the figures, the Hearing was closed.
Immediately thereafter the Chairman convened the Special Town Meeting for the sole purpose
of adopting the 2023 levy. Supervisor Adam Watson moved for the adoption of the levy in the
amount of $156,495.00. Supervisor Ebert seconded the motion and the motion passed on a
unanimous voice vote. Supervisor Ebert moved to adjourn the Special Town Meeting,
Supervisor Watson seconded the motion and the meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
Following that, the Regular Monthly meeting for November was called to order, the minutes of
the previous meeting were approved with a motion by Bill, second by Adam, motion carried.
The treasure presented the financial report which was approved for filing with a motion by Bill,
second by Adam, motion carried.
The summary budget was approved for 2023 with a motion by Bill and second by Adam, motion
carried.
The request to discontinue and sell the 33 foot access on the south side of Lake Mason was
discussed. The adjoining landowner wishes to purchase the property which is not being used.
Adam moved and Bill seconded to have Tory contact the Town Attorney to pursue the
feasibility and procedures necessary to sell the property. This will be discussed again when
more information is known.
Bill reported that he has filled potholes prior to winter and has worked on signs.
Invoices presented to the Clerk were examined and approved for payment with a motion by
Adam, second by Bill, motion carried.
Agenda items for next month shall include the annual audit of the Clerk’s financial book,
possible sale of property, and road work priorities for 2023.
The next meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on the 15 th of December.
Bill moved, Adam seconded for adjournment and the meeting adjourned at 7:32 p.m.
