Minutes of November Budget Hearing, Special Town Meeting, and Regular Meeting
November 18, 2021
The Hearing on the proposed Town Budget for 2022 was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on
Thursday, November 18, 2021 by Supervisor Adam Watson. The Pledge of Allegiance was
recited and the Clerk explained the proposed budget, in detail. No one had any questions or
comments and the Chairman declared the Hearing closed.
At 7:07 a Special Town Meeting was convened. Supervisor Bill Ebert moved to adopt the Town
Levy in the amount of $154,306.00 for the 2022 tax year. Glenn Myers seconded the motion
which then passed with a unanimous voice vote.
Ken Crothers moved to adjourn the Special Town Meeting. Bill Ebert seconded the motion
which then passed with a unanimous voice vote.
At 7:09 the Chairman convened the regular monthly meeting. The Clerk noted that proper
notice had been given through posting in three prominent places, posting on the Town web
site, and through electronic transmission to those on record as wishing that form of notice.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with a motion by Bill and second by
Adam. The treasurer’s report was presented and approved with a motion by Bill and second by
Adam.
Glenn Myers was in attendance requesting approval of a variance to allow for construction of a
garage with reduced setback from the road. The Town Plan Commission had reviewed the
request and unanimously approved of it. The Town Board listened to and asked questions of
Mr. Myers, reviewed the site plan, and agreed that it was in the best interest of all to approve
the request. Bill moved and Adam seconded to grant Town approval for the variance to allow
for construction of a garage with reduced setback from the road. Motion carried unanimously.
Bill noted that more patching was needed on roads before winter. The Clerk noted that repairs
to the Hall furnace were in progress, that the Wisconsin Elections Commission was going to
require that townships will need to have a .gov domain in the near future, whatever that is, and
that New Haven would likely receive some TRIP money in the next year.
Bills as presented by the Clerk were approved for payment with a motion by Bill and second by
Adam. Future agenda items shall include appointment of poll workers, audit of the Clerk’s
Finance Book, TRIP projects, Alliant Road Use Fees. The next meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on
Thursday December 16, 2021. Bill moved for adjournment , Adam seconded, and the meeting
adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
