Minutes of March, 2017 Meeting
The March meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16th, at the New Haven Town Hall by Chairman Tory Wolfram.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that notice of the meeting had been posted in three places and transmitted electronically to those on record as requesting same.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a motion by Supervisor Adam Watson, and a second by Supervisor Bill Ebert.
Treasurer Conny Crothers presented the Treasurer’s Report which was approved on a motion by Bill and second by Adam.
The Chairman invited those in attendance to participate in the meeting with questions and comments as the various items on the agenda are discussed.
Ordinance 01-2017 which adds additional roads to the list of approved ATV/UTV routes in the Town was discussed. The proposed ordinance had been posted and published prior to the meeting and was approved by a roll call vote with Tory, Bill, and Adam all voting in favor of adoption. This ordinance will be effective upon publication in the County paper on March 22, 2017.
Adam moved and Bill seconded to approve the annual consent agreement with Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative allowing them to do maintenance work on their lines without further Town approval for the year 2017. Motion carried.
Bill and Tory reported that tree clearing and brushing was in progress. They will meet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18 at Bill’s home and proceed to view the progress made. Clerk will post a notice of this meeting.
Bernadette Wisniewski spoke about concerns with snow plowing and sanding that has been done for the Town by the Town of Dell Prairie.
Bills were presented and approved for payment on a motion by Bill and second by Adam.
Future agenda items will include an update on the right of way encroachment at the intersection of State Road 23 and Fifth Avenue.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday April 19th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
Adam moved and Bill seconded to adjourn and the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
