Town of New Haven, Adams County
Minutes of April 19, 2018 Regular Town Board Meeting
The April meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Tory Wolfram. The pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that notice of the meeting had been posted in 3 places and sent electronically to those requesting such form of notification.
Minutes of the March meeting were read and approved on a motion by Supervisor Bill Ebert and second by Supervisor Adam Watson.
Conny Crothers presented the Treasurer’s report which was approved on a motion by Adam and second by Bill.
Chairman Wolfram invited those in attendance to ask questions and make comments during the meeting, at the Chairman’s discretion.
Discussion of ATV/UTV routes was held but no action taken. Bill expressed dissatisfaction with the brushing and tree cutting and suggested that a new contractor would be appropriate.
The Chairman appointed two members to the Town Plan commission after a motion by Bill and second by Adam to re-appoint Pete Joslin and Jane Gaffney.
The Jermier Estate has requested Town approval to rezone four acres including the farm buildings from A1-35 to R-2 to allow for the sale of the parcel separate from the rest. Bill moved for the Town to approve of the request and Adam seconded the motion. Motion carried with Chairman Wolfram abstaining from the vote.
Dale Reichhoff reported that as soon as the weather warmed up some he would begin patching of roads throughout the town and suggested that a lot of seal coating needed to be done this year. He also suggested the Board do a road inspection again this spring.
The clerk presented the bills for the month. Adam moved and Bill seconded to pay all bills as presented. Motion carried.
Agenda items for next month shall included bidding specifications for road work, and Herrling Crack filling work.
The next meeting will be on May 17th at 7:00 p.m.
Adam moved and Bill seconded for adjournment and the meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m..
