TB minutes 5-18-16
Minutes of May, 2016 Board Meeting
Town of New Haven, Adams County, Wisconsin
The regular monthly meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 18, 2016 at the town hall by Chairman Tory Wolfram.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the clerk noted that proper notice of the meeting had been given.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Supervisor Bill Ebert moved to accept the minutes as read and Supervisor Adam Watson seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The Treasurers report was presented and approved on a motion by Adam and second by Bill.
The chairman invited appropriate citizen input and questions through the course of the meeting.
Town road repairs were discussed with several needing a lot of attention. Jeff Delmore has presented the first of his findings and recommendations and Dale Reichhoff has also been making determinations of most needed repairs. Dale suggests that now would be an opportune time to borrow funding to make road improvements as interest rates are low and material costs have decreased as well. Gravel is needed for the short dead end piece of 2nd at the Ellis farm.
Rand Atkinson has requested Town approval of a rezone request for .22 acres to R-1. Adam moved and Bill seconded to approve the request. Motion carried.
Bids were opened for mowing of road right of way for the year. John Thome bid the work at $80.00 per hour and B&A Excavating bid the same work at $79.00 per hour. Adam moved to accept the bid from B&A Excavating and Bill seconded. Motion Carried.
Bid notices will be prepared and published for seal coating and paving work to be done this summer and fall. Bid opening will be at noon on June 6th at the town hall.
The clerk presented bills for the month and all were approved for payment on a motion from Adam and a second from Bill.
The bid opening will be on June 6th at noon and the next regular meeting will be on June 16, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall.
It was moved and seconded to adjourn and the Chairman declared adjournment at 7:30 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Kenneth Crothers, Clerk
