TB minutes 5-18-22
Minutes of May 2022 Town Board Meeting
Town of New Haven, Adams County, WI
The May, 2022 meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 7 p.m. by
Chairman Tory Wolfram. The Pledge of allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that proper
notice of the meeting had been given.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with a motion by Supervisor Adam
Watson, second by Supervisor Bill Ebert, and unanimous voice vote.
Treasurer Conny Crothers presented the monthly financial report which was then approved
with a motion by Adam, second by Bill, and unanimous voice vote.
Road projects for the year were discussed and various options were presented. Following the
discussion, Adam moved and Bill seconded to proceed with the LRIP Project on First Lane from
Golden Avenue and Golden Drive, Wedging of Fur Lane from County G to the west, and
wedging First Lane from County P north. Bill seconded the motion which was approved with a
unanimous voice vote.
Bill has completed an address sign inventory and 15 need replacing and another 35 in
questionable but serviceable condition.
The Clerk presented information on the Room Tax ordinances that other surrounding Towns
were using. At present there are about 7 such establishments and as the number increases to
the point where revenues from the tax exceed cost of paperwork an ordinance in New Haven
will be feasible.
The accessibility ramp was discussed and it was decided to reconstruct using composite
material rather than treated wood. Matt Hernandez will undertake the project.
Agenda items for June shall include Bid Opening for the LRIP project, update on other road
projects, accessibility ramp progress, fence at transfer site, and license approvals.
The next meeting will be on the 16 th of June at 7:00 p.m.
Bill moved and Adam seconded for adjournment and the Chairman declared the meeting
adjourned at 7:37 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Kenneth Crothers, Town Clerk
