Minutes of June 15, 2017 Regular Town Board Meeting
The regular monthly meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at the Town Hall on June 15, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Tory Wolfram. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that notice of the meeting had been posted in three places and transmitted electronically to those on record as having requested same.
Minutes of the Board of Review and the May meeting were read by the clerk. Supervisor Adam Watson moved to approve the minutes as read and Supervisor Bill Ebert seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Treasurer Conny Crothers presented the financial report for the month. Adam moved and Bill seconded to approve the report as presented. Motion Carried.
The chairman invited all in attendance to ask questions and make pertinent comments during the meeting.
There was no old business and the first item of new business was the request of Al Halvorsen to rezone 2 acres of his property from A-1-35 to R1-LL. David Halvorsen represented his father in explaining the request which had been approved unanimously by the Town Plan Commission. Adam moved and Bill seconded to approve the request at the Town level. Motion carried.
Pete Joslin requested that 1.5 acres of his property be rezoned to A-3 and 3.5 acres be rezoned to A-1-35 to divide 5 acres around the current residence and allow construction of another residence on the balance of the parcel. This request had also been presented to and approved unanimously by the Town Plan Commission with Pete Joslin, Chairman of the Plan Commission, abstaining from the vote. Adam moved and Bill seconded to approve the request at the town level. Motion carried.
The Clerk presented completed applications for Class B Combination License for Club 23, Class A Beer for Lake Mason Campground, Class B Beer for Wagon Wheel Campground, Class B Beer and Class B Wine for Prairie Hawk winery, Class B Beer for Granny’s. Class B Beer for Antiques and Crystal Inn, Cigarette License for Wagon Wheel Campground, Lake Mason Campground, and Antiques and Crystal Inn, Operator Licenses for Tanya Clausen, Kelsie Summers, Jane Stroede, Lonnie Fisher, Christine Coscino, Rita Harnack, Debra Bisset, Sandra Steffen, Kaila Brown, Nicole Dockerty, Patricia Roehl, Aston Walters, John Sage, Samantha Sage, Richard Baker, Robert Reimer, and Ava Gray. Bill moved and Adam second to approve licenses as presented.
The Clerk also presented a Class B Combination License for The Cove, John and Samantha Sage, owners. It was requested this license be approved under the condition that sale of the property takes place and if not, the license be issued to Curt and Diana VanSchoyck, without further board action. Bill moved and Adam seconded to approve the license with the above mentioned conditions. Motion carried.
Adam moved that the License for Berry Ridge Mobile Home Park be renewed for a year, providing the application and license fee arrives by the end of June. Bill seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Road Superintendent Dale Reichhoff reported that he was working on getting the needed repairs lined up for Gale Avenue at the Town Line. Bill reported the mowing of roadsides in the town was in progress but rains had made it difficult.
The Clerk presented the bills for the month which were approved for payment with a motion by Adam and second by Bill. Motion carried.
Topics for next month’s meeting shall include approving necessary road repair projects. The next regular meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on July 20th at the Town Hall.
Adam moved and Bill seconded to adjourn and the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
