Minutes of June 15, 2023 monthly Town Board Meeting
The June meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Town
Hall by Chairman Tory Wolfram.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that proper notice of the meeting had
been given.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and the erroneous reference to Fur Lane was
corrected to Gale Avenue. Supervisor Adam Watson moved to approve the corrected minutes.
Supervisor Jason Musiedlak seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was given and approved for filing with a motion by Adam, second by
Jason, Motion carried.
The ATV/UTV Ordinance and agreement with the Club are prepared but not it time for approval
this month. This will be acted upon at the July meeting.
Bid opening for road repairs will be at noon on the 28 th of June at the Town Hall.
All licenses applied for with the Clerk were approved for the coming year with a motion by
Adam and second by Jason. Motion carried.
A late but complete application from Camp Lake Mason for Class A Beer and Wine was
approved with a motion by Adam and second by Jason with the condition that the Campground
management provide for its own garbage service for its patrons. Motion carried.
Adam moved and Jason seconded to table action on acquiring an AED device until further
information was available. Motion carried.
Jason noted that some trees need cutting in the right of way on various roads. The Clerk noted
that the Towns account with the System of Award Management had been renewed and that a
Memorandum of Understanding between the Wisconsin Election Commision and the Town had
been signed and filed for grant assistance necessary to offset the cost of new Absentee Inner
and Outer Envelopes which are required for next year. The Treasurer noted that the new Tax
Collection software will not yet be available for this tax year, the old one will continue until the
new one is ready to go. County Supervisor Jay Churco reported that funding of additional voting
machines had been approved for the Towns that needed them. New Haven has enough so is
not included. He also reported that a Potato Processing Plant is likely to be built in the
Industrial Park in Jackson township. Road Superintendent Bill Ebert reported that patching was
continuing, that the road ditch mowing was completed, that he had a list of defective address
signs that needed to be replaced, and that a hole had developed at the exit of the culvert by the
Genszler property on 2 nd .
Adam moved and Jason seconded to approve payment of all bills presented to the Clerk for the
month, motion carried.
Agenda items for the next meeting shall include consideration of the ATV/UTV Ordinance,
consideration of the agreement between the Town and the ATV/UTV club, procuring a
dumpster for cardboard at the transfer site, and purchase of an AED unit for the Town Hall.
The next regular meeting will be held on the 20 th of July at 7:00 p.m.
Adam moved and Jason seconded for adjournment and the meeting adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
