TOWN OF NEW HAVEN, ADAMS COUNTY, WI
REGULAR MONTHLY TOWN BOARD MINUTES OF
THURSDAY, JULY 17, 2014-7:00 p.m.
The regular monthly town board meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Mike Julson, Brad Luger present, Lenny Watson absent.
This meeting was in compliance with the open meeting law by being properly noticed. The agenda was approved with a motion by Brad Luger/Mike Julson. M/C. Meeting minutes of the June 19, 2014 regular monthly town board meeting were approved with a motion by Luger/Julson. M/C. The financial report was read by the town Treasurer, with the following balances as of June 30, 2014: NOW account: $46,374.23, Berry Ridge Parking fees: $4,513.10, MMDA: $3,338.43, Tax account: Closed out, and CD: $19,668.61.
Public comment:
No one spoke.
Old or unfinished business:
1) Options for recovering cost of repair of damage to ditches along Gale Ct. & First Lane. Two options were discussed for this encroachment problem. Option (A) would be to get the Adams County Sheriff involved or (B) look at ways to recover the cost of repair of damage done by farming practices in the road right-of-way along the two roads previously mentioned. A motion was made by Brad Luger to go with plan (B) and look for a contractor with the appropriate equipment to repair the damages and bill Frank Lentz the property owner. There were no start or completion dates determined at this time, seconded by Julson. M/C.
New business:
1) An application for an operator’s license by Jenny Krause was approved by a motion made by Luger/Julson. M/C.
2) Robert Anderson was given preliminary approval to split 5 acres from a 33.4 acre A-3 parcel. He would like to sell the 5 acres with the buildings and keep the rest of the acreage which could remain zoned A-3. Motion from Luger/Julson to preliminarily approve this land division. M/C. He will get it surveyed and bring back a certified survey map to the plan commission and the town board for final approval.
3) A request for a rezone for the Vera Thomm Estate for a 31.171 acre R-1 parcel and a 10 acre portion of a 76.63 A-1 parcel to both be rezoned A-3, and to split the 10 acres from the rest of the A-1 parcel, was granted by a motion from Luger/Julson. M/C.
4) A special exception permit for Jeff Senglaub to replace an existing garage in need of major repairs with a new garage on a parcel with no primary structure. Mr. Senglaub owns other lots adjacent to this property. Motion by Luger/Julson to approve the special exception. M/C.
There were no reports from Town Chairman and the County Board representative was not present
Motion by Julson/ Luger to approve the disbursements read by the town Clerk. M/C. Motion to adjourn at 7:25 p.m. by Luger/Julson until August 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. M/C.
