Minutes of July 21, 2016 Town Board Meeting
Town of New Haven, Adams County, Wisconsin
The Regular Monthly Meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at the Town Hall at
7:00 p.m. on Thursday July 21st, 2016 by Tory Wolfram, Town Chairman.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that notice of the meeting had been posted in
three places and transmitted electronically to those on record as requesting same.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a motion by Supervisor Adam Watson and
a second by Supervisor Bill Ebert.
Treasurer Conny Crothers presented the Treasurer’s Report which was approved by a motion from
Adam and second by Bill.
The Chairman invited those in attendance to ask questions and make pertinent comments on the
various agenda items as they are presented.
Road work was discussed and it was reported that 2nd Lane is finished, 4th is nearly completed, and Scott
Construction is ready to do their work on Golden.
The problems at 125 Gale Ct. appear to be lessening.
A petition to vacate a portion of Grouse Ct. Private has been submitted to and was presented by the
Clerk. Since the town has never had anything to do with this private road and no one will be landlocked
by vacating this portion, Bill moved and Adam seconded to accept the petition as sufficient and to
proceed to vacate the portion of road as specified in the petition. The date and time for the required
hearing was set as August 30, 2016 at 12:00 noon. The clerk is to serve notice to the affected
landowners as well as the Wisconsin DOT.
Mr. and Mrs. Wencka appeared with concerns about trash on the Thompson property. They were
advised to call Adams County Planning and Zoning, and Town Chair will do the same. The chairman will
attempt to contact the owner as well. Also brought up was the increasing collection of vehicles,
campers, and other things on the property south of Big Spring on second. The problem of excess speed
on Golden Ct. was also discussed.
It was reported the Ed Sigmund had completed the repairs to the Town Hall Accessibility Ramp.
Bills for the month were presented by the clerk and approved on a motion by Bill and second by Adam.
The next regular meeting of the board will be August 18th at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Bill moved and Adam seconded to adjourn. Motion Carried and Chairman declared the meeting
adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
