Minutes of August 17, 2017 meeting of the New Haven Town Board
The August 17, 2017 meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. at the town hall by Chairman Tory Wolfram.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that notice of the meeting had been posted in three locations and transmitted electronically to those on record as requesting such.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Supervisor Bill Ebert moved and Supervisor Adam Watson seconded to approve the minutes as read. Motion carried.
Treasurer Conny Crothers presented the Treasurer’s report which was approved on a motion by Adam and second by Bill.
The Chairman invited all in attendance to ask questions and make pertinent comments on the various agenda items as they are discussed.
The Chairman opened a public hearing on an ordinance amending the original ATV/UTV Ordinance to include Gillette Avenue from County P east to First Lane with the list of approved routes. Mark Isaacson, who lives on the road in question, spoke in favor and no one spoke in opposition. The chairman then closed comments for the hearing and Bill moved to adopt Ordinance 02-2017 and Adam seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Ordinance will be effective on the date of publication in the County paper.
Conny Crothers asked the board to think about what the letter included with tax bill should say this year. Dale Reichhoff reported that he had looked at culverts on Golden Avenue and Glen Lane with Scott Babcock and had filled a hole over the culvert on First Lane. The clerk noted that the deadline for submissions to the County paper had been moved ahead from Mondays at 9:00 p.m. to Thursdays at 3:00 p.m.
Bills were presented by the Clerk and approved for payment by a motion from Adam and a second by Bill.
The next meeting shall include a discussion of where brushing needs to be done and will be held at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st of September.
Adam moved and Bill seconded to adjourn and the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 7:26 p.m.
