Minutes of August 18, 2016 Town Board Meeting
Town of New Haven, Adams County, Wisconsin
The August 2016 Regular Town Board meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Tory Wolfram.
The pledge of allegiance was recited and compliance with the open meeting law was confirmed by the clerk.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a motion by Supervisor Bill Ebert and a second by Supervisor Adam Watson.
The treasurer’s report was presented and approved for filing on a motion by Adam and second by Bill.
The chairman invited pertinent questions and comments from all in attendance on the various agenda items as they are discussed.
Jeff Delmore presented his findings concerning the roads of the Town and expects to be completely finished with his research in the next week.
The problem of excessive speed on Golden Court was discussed and the board will have signage improved as a first attempt to alleviate the problem.
The Town of Douglas has requested that an advisory committee be formed consisting of one representative from each Town and two from the Lake District. They have also suggested the cost sharing agreement for the dam be revised every five years. Adam moved and Bill seconded to agree with the Town of Douglas to the formation of a dam advisory committee and to revisit the cost sharing agreement for the Douglas Dam every five years. Motion carried.
Bill reported that road mowing will commence soon. The trash accumulation on the Thompson property was discussed and Mark Knutson offered to clean it up out of respect for the late Steve Thompson, provided the Town can secure approval for him to do it.
Bills for the month were presented by the clerk and approved for payment on a motion by Bill and second by Adam.
The next regular meeting will be on September 15th at 7:00 p.m.
Adam moved for adjournment and Bill seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
