Minutes of September 15, 2022 meeting of the New Haven Town Board
The regular monthly meeting of the New Haven Town Board was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on
the 15th of September at the New Haven Town Hall by Town Chairman Tory Wolfram.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Clerk noted that proper notice of the meeting had
been given.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved pending correction of the proposed
speed limit on Gulch from 40 as written to 45 as approved. Motion by Supervisor Adam
Watson, second by Supervisor Bill Ebert, motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was presented and approved with a motion by Adam, second by Bill,
motion carried.
No figures are available yet for the cost of spraying roadside brush next year. Dell Prairie is still
considering an intergovernmental agreement for roadside mowing. The Town Chairmen will
meet to view the roads in the coming days.
Marcia Roelke has requested to rezone some of her property from A1-35 to A1-15 to allow for
sale of a portion of it to a relative. The Town Plan Commission had reviewed the request and
unanimously recommended to the Town Board for approval. Adam moved and Bill seconded
for Town approval of the request. Motion carried unanimously.
Adam moved and Bill seconded to approve issuance of an Operator’s License for Robert
Ginther. Motion carried.
Jay Churco, District One County Supervisor, reported on various topics at the County level.
ACED has funds available to loan to small businesses at very competitive rates. Opioid funds are
available to help with costs incurred for that problem. There are still some ARPA funds available
for the County to use. Lake Mason Management District will be contacting farmers in the
watershed requesting more buffer strips along streams tributary to Lake Mason in order to
reduce nutrient runoff that ends up in the lake.
Adam moved and Bill seconded to approve payment of bills as presented to the Clerk. Motion
carried.
Next months agenda will include cost of spraying roadside brush. The next meeting will be held
on the 20th of October at 7:00 p.m.
Bill moved and Adam seconded for adjournment and the Chairman declared the meeting
adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
