Minutes of Sept. 16 New Haven Town Board Meeting
The regular monthly meeting of the New Haven Town Board for September, 2016 was called to order by Chairman Tory Wolfram at the town hall at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th of the month.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the clerk noted that notice of the meeting had been posted in three locations in the town and notice of the meeting had been transmitted electronically to those who have requested such notification.
Minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved on a motion by Supervisor Adam Watson and a second by Supervisor Bill Ebert.
The Treasurers report was presented and approved on a motion by Bill and second by Adam.
Chairman Wolfram invited those in attendance to participate in the meeting with appropriate questions and comments on agenda items.
Adam reported that the 35 mile per hour speed limit signs have been ordered for Golden Court and will be put up when available. Additionally, he has requested to use the portable speed indicator sign from the City of Wisconsin Dells in an effort to slow the traffic on that road.
Tory has been in contact with the owner of the Thompson property on Golden Ct. and they will have things cleaned up before much longer.
Ongoing road repairs were discussed and much of the work is now completed. It may be necessary to borrow on a short term basis to finish the year, as planned and authorized at the Annual Meeting.
Ken Kieffer reported that there may be an illegal driveway recently constructed on Gale Drive and the board will investigate.
Mrs. Wolc appeared to discuss the debris accumulation on property on Gale Ct. Cleanup is in progress.
New Haven has been requested to appoint someone to the newly formed Lake Mason Lake District Advisory Board. Bill moved and Adam seconded to appoint Matt Musiedlak from New Haven. Motion Carried.
The budget over run was discussed and Adam moved and Bill seconded to use the Town Certificate of Deposit, which is set to renew in October, be transferred to the checking account. Motion carried.
A resolution to urge the legislature to increase road aids to municipalities has been proposed by the Wisconsin Towns Association. Adam moved and Bill seconded for adoption of the resolution which was then adopted on a voice vote with Tory, Adam, and Bill all voting in the affirmative
Road mowing will soon begin, removal of rocks from the road right of ways was requested to be put on the agenda for the next meeting, and date for the next meeting was set for October 20th, 2016
Adam moved and Bill seconded for adjournment. Meeting adjourned at 7:58. p.m.
